 Put-in-Bay is a fun alternative to mainland employment during the summer months. We employ about 65 college age workers for our summer season. We open the second weekend in May (Victoria Day Weekend) each season and close down sometime in mid to late September.
We hire our staff from colleges and universities that have varying class schedules so we cover the early and late times of the season and have a full staff to cover the peak months of July and August.
The Crescent has housing available and we offer an employee discount on food. We pay a fair wage and offer the ability to work overtime at certain times of the season.
 We hire a large wait staff, bartenders, kitchen workers and maintenance staff. We are flexible in scheduling, but encourage applicants to come prepared to work hard and to have a lot of fun.
Put-in-Bay businesses employ more than 1,000 college age workers each season to operate the seasonal businesses. Besides working, there are a lot of other reasons to spend a summer at "the Bay."
There's a lot to see and do. Put-in-Bay itself is rich in history and, well, just plain fun. There's parasailing, golf, swimming, boating, fishing, miniature golf, a winery, two caves to explore, a National Monument, lots of shopping, other islands to explore and making new friends among other activities.
 Cedar Point, the most popular amusement park in the region, is just 20 minutes away. There is an organized summer softball league to play in or to watch play. Large groups gather during the softball season to catch a special ferry that takes them and the team to Middle Bass or Kelleys Island for an inter-island game.
The 20th annual Bartender Olympics was celebrated in 2003. Each bar fields a team of bartenders and servers to compete against the other island pubs for a chance to bring home the gold. It's a night of team work, individual skill and outrageous fun.
Island living may not be for everyone, but those who visit Put-in-Bay soon fall in love with this island in Ohio. |
